THE LINE: NEOM's Cognitive City

THE LINE is a revolutionary urban design concept currently under construction in the Tabuk province. It is a 170-kilometer-long, 500-meter-tall linear city intended to house up to 9 million residents without the need for cars or roads. Built within two parallel mirrored walls, the city operates on 100% renewable energy and prioritizes nature above infrastructure.

How does transportation work on THE LINE?

All residents of THE LINE will be within a 5-minute walk of essential services, and a high-speed subterranean rail system (The Spine) will connect one end of the 170km city to the other in just 20 minutes. It represents a paradigm shift in urbanism, focusing on "Vertical Urban Modeling" to maximize productivity and minimize the human footprint on the desert environment.

NEOM Trojena Ski Resort Visit

Located highly elevated in the mountains of the Tabuk province, 50 kilometers from the Gulf of Aqaba, Trojena represents a total subversion of geographical expectations. Scheduled prominently for the 2029 Asian Winter Games, it represents the Arabian Peninsula's first major outdoor ski destination, relying on a localized micro-climate where sub-zero winter temperatures naturally occur.

Will Trojena have real snow?

While the high peaks of Tabuk do receive genuine flurries every winter, Trojena will systematically deploy highly advanced snowmaking technology and renewable energy grids to ensure a consistent, world-class alpine village experience spanning three months of the year. The integrated complex features a man-made freshwater lake, vertical villages drilled into the mountain face, and immense luxury retail.
